Sweaty Betty PR's New HQ: Paddington

Lamond Projects were engaged by Sweaty Betty PR to construct their new head quarters in the heart of Paddington, NSW.

The original building consisted of four duplexes in a large freestanding block that had been vacant for an extended period of time. The internals of the building received a complete demolition and a brand new make over. Externally the building received a full refurb with new rendering, paint, windows and a landscaped terrace garden. The top floor of the building now consists of open plan offices, while the bottom floor includes the Kitchen, bathrooms and high end showrooms.

Working with SJB and Blainey North as the architects, the interior finishes throughout the property are all of the highest caliber. To name a few finishes:

- Tiling throughout consists of Fibonacci Terrazzo tiles

- Custom fabric wall paneling with fabrics imported from Italy

- Custom mirror work throughout all bathrooms, with 3mm metal surround mirrors, custom heavy duty bronze hinges and incorporated hair basins

- Custom metal work throughout, with a specialty Astor metal finish to all surrounds including the fabric wall panels & doors, balustradings and internal doors

- Polished plaster finish to internal feature walls

- High-end joinery & cabinetry throughout

This was an exciting project to work on, with a huge transformation from start to finish. It was a pleasure working with both the client and the architects on this job to transform these duplexes into a truly spectacular office space.

The Erko: Erskineville

The Erko is one of Sydney's favourite hotels, with the beer garden producing some of the best smoked meats in Sydney.
Lamond Projects were engaged by Solotel to demolish the existing courtyard and beer garden and to build a new space designed by Humphrey Edwards, including a large acoustic retaining wall, new internal awnings and an expansive spotted gum deck. The build was executed in keeping with the original feel of local favourite. 
One of the primary purposes of the new design was to ensure that the beer garden was acoustically capable of buffering noise from the surrounding residents. With this in mind, all the retaining walls were clad in 25mm Autex Quiet Space, and then finished with timber paneling. Given the height and length of the walls, steel structures were used to ensure that the wall is safely secured. A clever design by Humphrey Edwards and the team at Solotel enabled us to integrate this steel work into the new undercover eating area.

This was a fantastic job to work on with the team at Solotel over summer, and was completed within the tight 6-week timeframe to ensure the locals weren't missing their beer garden for too long.

Canali Boutique: Sydney CBD

Canali is an international Italian menswear company that portrays Italian style and luxury at it's core. Canali engaged Lamond Projects to build their flagship store in the Sydney CBD in 2016.

The works started with a full demolition and strip out of the existing shop, taking it back to its concrete shell. Upon completion of demolition, we then worked with the designers who were based in Italy, to fit the store to their chosen design and specifications. Some of the highlights of the space include the large chandeliers, the LED recessed strip lighting throughout and the oversized tinted glass room dividers.

Working with designers that were based in Italy had some challenges, however the Canali team and Lamond Projects were eager from the start to build a strong working relationship from afar. The end result was a premium store fitout, with high end finishes, that oozes luxury. We loved working with the Canali team on this fantastic project in Sydney!
